Lynnhaven Presbyterian Youth

Congratulations to Blair George for being selected as the Most Valuable Player in the Virginia Beach Recreational Basket Ball Tournament held at the Great Neck Recreational Center during the weekend of 10 December.

The youth at Lynnhaven had another busy month.  In November in addition to a regular meeting we had a lock-in.  We spent 15 hours together–11 of them awake!  By 4am the leaders were exhausted but the youth still had energy to spend.  Three of our youth went to the Sr. High Retreat at Makemie Woods.  We had a great time learning to recreate and re-create.  The highlight of our month was the annual Youth Thanksgiving Dinner.  Everyone dressed up, we ate on china and dined in candlelight.  It was a wonderful time to celebrate the many reasons we have to say “thanks.”

December is going to be busy with caroling, a party, and participating in the Live Nativity already lined up.  We look forward to sharing the gifts of the season together.  From all the youth we want to wish everyone a very happy Christmas Season, full of joy, love, hope and peace.
