Dear Members of the Lynnhaven Family

In the preface to his book Mere Christianity C.S. Lewis writes: ,
“There are questions at issue between Christians to which I do not think we have been told the answer. There are some to which I may never know the answer: if I asked them, even in a better world, I might (for all I know) be answered as a far greater questioner was answered: “ What is that to thee? Follow thou me.”

An old Gospel song speaks about those ‘unanswered questions’ which are a part of everyone’s life and says:
“farther along we’ll know more about it, farther along we’ll understand why, cheer up my brother, live in the sunshine, We’ll understand it all bye and bye.”

Jesus responded to Peter’s question about what would happen to his fellow disciple, John with the words: “What is that to thee? Follow thou me.” (John 21:21) We must live with our unanswered questions while we respond to the invitation which will open the door to the most meaningful life we can experience in this world – life in the service of Jesus Christ. May God bless us all as we seek to follow our Lord in these challenging days.
