The Missions commitment of LPC is to serve and reach out to the community and beyond as exampled by Jesus Christ. We, young and old alike, take part in several outreach programs……

The Food Pantry - We donate non-perishable food items to help the needy. Nearly every week day groceries are handed out to members of the surrounding community.

Meals on Wheels -The first Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday of each month we deliver meals to people who are unable to fix meals for themselves. We can always use subs.

Toiletries for the Homeless - We are collecting toiletries to be made into kits that are taken to the Virginia Beach Homeless Center.

School Supplies - School supplies are collected and distributed to one or two schools where the need is great.

Thanksgiving & Christmas Baskets - Food for a holiday meal plus gifts for selected needy families are collected and distributed.

Our Missionary, Toni McAndrew - Toni grew up in our church. She is a missionary in San Salvador, El Salvador. She is helping the deaf there to know Christ by creating a Sign Bible Video. She is teaching the deaf to be able to do this themselves and then to be able to go out and teach the Bible to those who have no knowledge of Christ. LPC supports Toni financially, and many at LPC who are touched by her dedication and work support her individually.

   LPC is known as the “Little Church with the Big Heart”, and the Missions Committee is always open to new ideas.
